Fondazione Agnelli commits to supporting the initiative, promoted by the China-Italy Philanthropy Forum and the Italian Embassy in Beijing
With other foundations and nonprofit organisations, Fondazione Agnelli has committed to supporting the China-Italy Philanthropy Forum’s initiative for a humanitarian airlift between Beijing and Milan (Malpensa). The Italian Embassy in China has arranged a programme to pick up and import to Italy medical and health material (respirators, respirator masks, etc.) needed to face the Covid-19 emergency.
Under the supervision of the ToChina Hub, developed by the University of Turin, the first load has already been delivered to Italy, thanks to a flight provided by Italian airline Neos.
The China-Italy Philanthropy Forum was established in 2019, with Romano Prodi as its Honorary chairman, and brings together various nonprofit organisations that focus on social issues and welfare in the two countries.
