Our warmest congratulations to Joel Mokyr, who has just been awarded the 2025 Nobel Prize in Economics for his groundbreaking studies on the “prerequisites for sustained growth through technological progress.” A celebrated economic historian, Professor Mokyr teaches at Northwestern University at Evanston (IL) and in 2023 was the guest of honor at the event organized by Bocconi University and Fondazione Agnelli in Milan on the occasion of the award of the Avvocato Giovanni Agnelli Associate Professorship in Economics to Mara Squicciarini. The Chair was established in 2013 by Fondazione Agnelli, at the initiative of its Chairman, John Elkann.
